Hello, and welcome to another tutorial for one of our more recent server plugins, SimpleClans.

When you log on the server you have three options:
    • Stay clan-less
    • Join a clan
    • Create your own clan
    1) Staying clan-less has almost no benefits. You don't get a clan home teleport, or a colorful name if you donate, so the other two options are preferable.

    2) Joining a clan is easy! All you have to do is get someone to invite you. Once you have a pending clan invite you just need to do
    Code:
    /saccept.
to accept the invitation , or
    Code:
    /sdeny
    to decline the invitation.

Once your in a clan, you can chat with your clan members, and only your clan members by typing
    Code:
    /. <message>
    3) Creating a clan is pretty simple too. First you want to do
    Code:
    /clan create [TAG] [Clan Name]
Inside the [TAG] section, write the short name of your clan. This will be the part that appears before your name. The [Clan Name] portion is your clans full name, which will appear on its profile page.

To invite a player into your clan, type
    Code:
    /clan invite <playername>
If you have a player you don't like in your clan just
    Code:
    /clan kick <playername>
Once you have a clan of your own, you will likely want to verify it. To do this, just type
    Code:
    /clan verify
This gives you access to come additional features that SimpleClans has to offer, but costs fifty gold.

Once your clan is verified you can set a home base with
    Code:
    /clan home set
Once you've used this command, you can teleport back to this spot with
    Code:
    /clan home
There are three types of players in a clan:
    • Untrusted - This is what a newly invited player is.
    • Trusted - This is the rank given by the leader to a player who is worthy of trust.
    • Leader - The boss.
    [WARNING]
A trusted member of a clan has access to some powerful commands. Be careful who you trust!
    [WARNING]

To promote a player to trusted use
    Code:
    /clan trust <playername>
Similarly, you can remove trusted status with
    Code:
    /clan untrust <playername>
When you set a member to trusted status they get access to three powerful commands:
    • The clan home teleport
      Code:
      /clan home
    • The clan vitals, which shows what every member of the clan is armed with
      Code:
      /clan vitals
    • The clan coords, which shows the coordinates and distance of every clan member
      Code:
      /clan coords
Finally, the command you've all been waiting for: How to add COLOR to your clan tag. The command is
    Code:
    /clan modtag [New Clan Tag]
The new tag MUST be the same as the old tag except: You can add color codes, and you can change the case of the letters. The color codes are inserted by adding them to the left of where you want the color to appear. If my clan tag is currently TEST, I can change it to green by doing
    Code:
    /clan modtag &2TEST
A list of color codes can be found at http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Formatting_codes
